One of Donald Trump’s longest-serving aides and Senior Adviser, Kellyanne Conway will be leaving the White House at the end of the month.
She informed the President of her decision on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at the Oval Office. Her announcement comes on the eve of the Republican National Convention.
Her reasons for stepping down cited “the need to focus on her family” after her high school daughter had a tweetstorm about social media “becoming way too much” and how she needs to take “a mental break.”
Conway’s husband, George Conway III has been an open critic of President Donald Trump and he will be stepping down from The Lincoln Project, an offshoot Republican group dedicated to defeating the incumbent President come November 3.
Kellyanne Conway in a formal statement said, “our four children are teens and tweens starting a new academic year in the middle school and high school that will be conducted remotely from home for at least a few months. This is completely my choice and my voice. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama.”
my mother’s job ruined my life to begin with. heartbreaking that she continues to go down that path after years of watching her children suffer. selfish. it’s all about money and fame, ladies and gentlemen.
